[1:33 P.M. Cherry Beach. Bruce, cup of coffee in hand, walks up to Mark, who is not in the picture yet. Off camera, quaking is heard. Then we see Mark, standing next to the squad car, holding a duck.]

Bruce: Hello. [Pause] Very nice duck.

Mark: Thanks.

[Another pause.]

Bruce: Hold it! How's a guy afford a nice duck like that on a cop's salary?

[Another pause.]

Mark: Found it.

[Another pause. Mark starts to whistle and "casually" walk off. Bruce eyes him suspiciously.]
