See, I get that. Bruce is Bruce. I have gotten so used to his style that I laugh out loud at it. I liked Dog Park and have a real affinity for the country mix tape and dating chain part of it. Plus, I tend to laugh out loud at stuff that others don't and vice versa. I love those tiny little things that people throw in and it's awkward to be in an audience where I'm the only one laughing at it. Oh, and I
do blame the Kids for that.

He used to write for SNL, but not much of his stuff got on air and I don't know if any is in reruns.
In any case, I just didn't find this script that funny. There were, probably, two areas that I really felt Bruce in. Maybe I just don't like him doing sitcoms. Again, when I see it, that's when I'll make my final decision.
There will always be a problem with first episodes where you have to introduce characters and the style of the show. The first episode is very rarely one of the best. That's why I'm trying to pass as little judgement as I can. But, I'm just being honest. I don't think it's up to his capabilities as a writer.
