Just wondering if anyone watches "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip"?  I've only watched one episode (B12) and only because Mark was in it.  I know he was in the Christmas episode also, I'm going to watch that next.  Anyway,  I'm just wondering what people thought of it.  I kind of liked the one I saw, and it seems Mark is perfectly suited to both write and act on a show like this, given his background on Saturday Night Live.  Any thoughts out there?

I've seen every episode of that show. I like how flawed all the characters are and it's very funny as well as dramatic. I've seen better, but I do think this is a great show. Too bad it's almost definetely going to get cancel.

Firefly, Freaks & Geeks, Studio 60 why have they forasken thee?

I've been watching the show disinterestedly (sort of . . . actually, it's more like a love/hate thing) and have seen about 3/4 of the episodes. I really like Mark's tragi-comic character, and his perfect deadpan delivery.

I missed last week's episode . . . was he in it? Did he just sign on for X number of episodes, or will he be a permanent addition to the cast? I'm hoping for the latter.

OK, so I watched the Christmas episode last night, and I found it more irritating than funny.  I definitely liked the first one better.  Of course Mark was funny, I do like his character and his deadpan manner.  I don't know if he's been in any other episodes.  I checked on IMDB and it only listed those two for him, but maybe it's not completely up-to-date.  Anyway, I like the show but so far after two episodes it seems rather hit and miss.

I love the show. I'm a big Sorkin fan. I think it's had its problems, but it's finding its footing again. They need to let things actually happen instead of having the characters merely talking about them all the time; the Christmas show was, in my opinion, a step in the right direction in that regard.

And I LOVE Mark's character. It's a new type for him and I hope to see a lot more...

I'm so pathetic and almost never watch tv anymore that I don't even know what day Studio 60 comes one (I almost mistyped that as 'Studio 69'. So when does it come on?

Here in Canada, it airs at 10 pm Sunday nights on CTV. Sundays are my Fridays, work-wise, so I often find it very hard to stay up that late to watch it. (Oh boo-hoo, right?)

According to Wikipedia, it airs at 10 pm Monday nights on NBC in the U.S. If you don't feel like watching it, you could always read the recaps at Television Without Pity. Small caveat: although I like the majority of TWOP recaps, I find the Studio 60 recaps a little hard to digest because the recappers hate the show. A lot.

Mark was in last week's episode. He had one line and is still billed as a guest star. I think I only really watch this show for him, much like I forced myself to watch Spice World all those years ago.

I downloaded the episodes I wanted from iTunes, they're $2 each.  Like a lot of people I find it hard to commit to watching a show at its scheduled time each week.  Since I don't have Tivo or a DVR, iTunes is great!  I read on EW.com last week that Studio 60 is going on hiatus or something, and likely won't be back.  Kind of sad, since despite its flaws it was a quirky, original show.  On the plus side, maybe this frees up one more of the guys to start touring again!

Really? I read an article saying that it was going to be renewed. Odd.

The "renewal" you're probably thinking about is the fact that NBC ordered a full season's worth of episodes awhile ago, which surprised everyone because the show was doing so poorly in the ratings. Studio 60 has been put on hiatus, which is probably - but not necessarily (they might just shelve it for February sweeps) - a precursor to death.

Well, for purely selfish reasons, I hope the show is in a terminal state. Scott Thompson was on Tom Green's web program, and said that the Kids want to tour again, but they were "waiting for Mark's show to be cancelled."

Plus, I don't like the show.  I had given up on it, and only watched the episodes that Mark M. was on.
